Sleepy Ridge Promo Video

This is a promo video I recently produced for Sleepy Ridge Weddings, a new reception site in Orem, UT.

Amazingly, none of the couples in this piece had a professional videographer on hand for their big day. I was happy to be able to shoot some of their receptions and provide some footage for their memories, but wow, the one that really stuck out was the ballroom dancing couple, where the bride's dad is an actual opera singer from France! He performed an amazing Aria for the couple and the guests, and it was a powerful moment I will never forget.

I'm sorry, but stills just aren't enough sometimes. I was lucky I caught the moment for the couple and for Sleepy Ridge.

This video will be shown at the SR grand opening in a few weeks, and will also be posted on brideaccess.com. A shorter commercial will air on the brideaccess.com show on abc4 in a few weeks too.

Special thanks to Ken and Linda Sorenson of Lifelong Memories Films for their help in producing this video. http://lifelongmemoriesfilms.blogspot.com/

And Now For Something Completely Different...

Alex and Tania: Rock Band Edition! (AKA "Phantom of the Rock Band")

Ok, I gotta hand it to these guys for letting me talk them into doing a "music video", but with the way cool concept of hanging out and playing Rock Band. ;) They were fearless!! Both are Rock Stars, and Alex gets a special Medal for playing the drums with kitchen utensils!(we couldn't find the game drumsticks)

Now where things get kinda sci-fi-ish was where the time traveler known as "Old Man Alex" suddenly appears to jam with the currently young and vivacious Tania! (I could swear I saw a DeLorean with a Flux Capacitor outside the studio while we were shooting)

I can't say that he aged all that well, but as you can see near the end of the video she loves him just the same!

Toni and Ashley, Date Video

As they say: "The couple that plays together, stays together." ;-)

Lots of classic sporting moments in this piece...hah hah. This was a lot of fun to shoot.

Gone Fishin'! Elliott and Shannon...

Wow, the weather just hasn't been playing nice lately. Not to worry--these guys were ready for anything including supplying a pontoon boat for the foolhardy cameraman (yours truly) to row out along the shore and get every possible angle as another storm rolled in.

I still think Elliott's got his work cut out for him if he's ever going to fix Shannon's form with the fishing pole. Watch the video and see if you agree... ;-)

Breann & Andrew's Love Story...

For a change of pace, Breann and Andrew wanted to tell their story in a cool interview/documentary style. Actually, this is sort of a combo date video/love story...which was really fun to produce! They're a funny, engaging couple and completely head over heels!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with these guys and I think we managed to make a unique document of their story.

Nash and Chelsie, Date Video

This was a fun shoot, even with the weather threatening the entire afternoon/evening. Nash and Chelsie were good sports about it all, literally. Fantastic couple!

Thanks guys!

Btw, this HAS to be seen in Blu-ray HD! I wish the web had the bandwidth for the full 1080 version, but that's what our studio demos are for. :)

Lance and Malena's Quad Adventure...

These two are seriously into 4-wheelin'--enough to get some rather gnarly footage before the inevitable cuddly moments took over. ;)
